Working together to solve global problems
Every year, world leaders and representatives get together at an enormous meeting in New York in the US.
On 19 September, presidents, prime ministers and representatives from 193 different countries travelled to the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York to discuss some of the most important issues facing the planet. The meeting is part of the annual General Assembly session, and it ended on 29 September.
The main seating area for the representatives
is known as the General Assembly Hall. Translators translate speeches into the official UN languages.
