Winnie the Pooh’s new pal
You might not have heard Will Tilston’s name before, but it’s likely you’ll be hearing it again. Tilston is the star of the upcoming film Goodbye
Christopher Robin. The movie follows the story of the real-life Christopher Robin, whose dad, A.A. Milne, used him as inspiration for the character of the same name in the Winnie the Pooh stories.
Ten-year-old Tilston has attracted universal praise for his performance, which makes it hard to believe that not only is this his first major role, it was the first role he ever auditioned for. He’d enjoyed taking drama lessons on Saturday mornings, but until now he was more used to playing donkeys in school plays. When he found out he’d be playing Christopher Robin, he was so excited he jumped into his aunt’s pool – still dressed in his pyjamas.
