The Archers: what happened last week

Joe blames himself for what happened to Nic. If he hadn’t got her to sift through his junk she might be alive. Ruth asks Brian for an update on the contamination. He assures her it’s nothing to worry about. Later, Ruth hears about Pryce Baumann pulling out and is not happy. She tells David she was entrusted to look after Ruairi’s interest and should be kept updated. Emma gets a frosty reception when she calls on Will. She tries to clean up, but gets an earful when she washes the mug Nic last used. She leaves in tears. Brian’s surprised when Will shows up with some shoot figures. He tells Will that no one’s expecting him back at work yet. Will tells him to stuff his job. Joe calls on Harrison and asks him about the hit and run. Harrison says the case is still open. Kate gets back from South Africa to find business is slow at Spiritual Home due to the contamination. Alice invites Harrison and Fallon for dinner and behaves oddly, having decided not to drink. Chris apologises, saying Alice gets tense when she’s gone to a big effort. Will and Joe reconcile, and Will starts to grieve. He tells Joe he is worried Poppy will forget Nic. Joe says that Nic was a saint and they won’t let Poppy forget her.
