Living with gods at the British Museum, London WC1 (020-7323 8181). Curated by Neil Macgregor, this “fascinating” exhibition uses objects, such as the 40,000-year-old Lion Man made from mammoth tusk, to tell the story of human belief (Times). Ends 8 April.

There’s an impressive line-up at this year’s Stratford Literary Festival. Novelist Rose Tremain talks about her memoir, while actor Greg Wise discusses his sister’s death from cancer.
