The Archers: what happened last week

-

Alistair confirms that some of Home Farm’s sheep have a disease – Josh did well to raise the alarm; Adam agrees. Overly concerned, Robert makes another misstep, suggesting that Lee intervene in Lynda’s physio treatment, to her annoyance. The rewilders find a way to agree on the barn development; now they need to convince Justin. Out on a walk, Emma tells Ed the explosion has given her perspective – she still loves him and wants their life back. Ed says it’s not enough and he can’t put himself or the kids through another break-up. Roy visits Blake with Lynda’s message, but a panicky Blake tells him to leave. Hearing about it later, Gavin alerts Philip. At Keira’s birthday party, Emma and Ed try to avoid each other. It’s Robert’s birthday and there’s good news: Lynda might be discharged later in the week, in time for Easter. Gavin is worried about Kenzie, one of the builders, who keeps asking about Blake. Gavin has bribed him to keep quiet; Philip says they need to wait for things to blow over. Roy is happy to hear Lynda will be out soon; it’s just the boost the Grey Gables’ staff need. He tells her about Blake’s odd reaction to his visit. At the hotel, it’s all hands on deck before reopening. Philip bumps into Roy and tries to allay his concerns about Blake – he’s just rattled and Roy should pass on any future messages to Gavin or himself. On opening day at Grey Gables, Tracy trains Freddie at reception. Lillian helps Robert prepare for Lynda’s homecoming and brings him to the opening – Lynda wanted him to be there. Tracy tells Emma not to take no for an answer from Ed, and later gives Oliver a pep talk.
