Warmer and longer spring and summers periods have seen the British public embrace the great outdoors , generating the al fresco dining revolution of the past 12 to 15 years.

Households have invested small fortunes on natural stone patios and terraces, as the centrepiece of their garden; four-course, candle-lit dinners, complemented by fine wines and stilletos , have replaced the invitation for a ‘ beer, a burger and a bun’ on a dirty patio, of the last century!

For the first two years, the stone maintains it pristine appearance. At the beginning of the third year, tiny, but vivid, black spots begin to appear, on certain slabs, almost by stealth.

After five years, the entire area has become infested, and the garden centrepiece has become something of an eyesore, even an embarrassment. Left untreated, when the autumn rain arrives, that combination of black lichen, white fungi and green algae, can turn your patios and pathways into a death trap!

THE CAUSE

Apparently, unless caused by brood parasitic aliens, as in John Wyndham’s, Midwhich Cuckoos, there’s no obvious explanation!

Patio black spots are spores of black lichen, the size of pollen, that emanate from the trees. Carried on the breeze, when it rains, they’re watered into the pores in your garden stonework; feeding off the various minerals in the stone; by the beginning of the third year, the spores have germinated, producing roots, anchoring themselves into the surface, which is why pressure washing alone has no effect.

YOU DON’T NEED THAT PRESSURE ON

Beware the dangers to garden stonework from pressure washing!

Excess pressurewashing vibrates the surface, causing delamination of the layers, eventually destroying the stone from within. Pressure washing removes the dirt but merely accentuates the appearance of the black spots. Your valuable investment has lost its beauty and value, rapidly becoming an eyesore!

THE SOLUTION IS PATIO BLACK SPOT REMOVER ®

Most ‘patio cleaners’ contain pesticides, or, worse, acid, and are called ‘ destroyers’ or ‘ killers’, which will dissolve limestone and stain sandstone orange, not to mention having a devastating effect on surrounding plants.

Patio Black Spot Remover®, is both ‘acid free’ and biodegradable. Euchan2® technology, a gardenfriendly combination of eucalyptus, copper and sodium, ensures that the solution will gently penetrate, breakdown and remove the organic growth, completely restoring the original colour to any type and age of garden stonework, in a matter of hours, at a fraction of the cost of relaying! Simply pressure wash away the effluent, to waste, and admire!

THE RESULT

Your garden centre piece looks as you had intended: pristine all the year round! Safe for adults and children. You’re in complete control, minimum pressure washing — maximum enjoyment!

THE PATIO BLACK SPOT REMOVAL SYSTEM ® – 10 YEARS OLD IN 2021

Because all stones are different, (sedimentary, metamorphic, igneous and man-made), The Patio Black Spot Removal System® consists of three different ‘Removers’ and the ‘Preventer’ for use on natural stone, artificial stone or brick and block pavers.

The Patio Black Spot Preventer® is applied just before the anniversary of when the Remover was applied, and annually, thereafter. The Preventer is a quarter the price of the Remover, and works by ‘ hijacking’ the germination period, ensuring you never experience, ‘The Return of The Black Spots’, meaning, you never have to repeat the Removal process again!

As the man said ”Sedimentary, my dear Watson!”

Patio Black Spot Remover® has completely changed the perception of DIY patio cleaning performance by offering better than professional performance , completely restoring the original colour, appearance and therefore the value to your patios, paths, terraces — no matter how old, and at a fraction of the cost of renewing or replacing.

The Patio Black Spot Removal System removes and permanently prevents their return.
