IT MUST BE TRUE…

I read it in the tabloids

A Russian cosmetic surgeon is offering women a novel way to support their country’s war on Ukraine: “patriotic breast implants”. Available in the “Russian tricolour” or “army camouflage”, the implants are the brainchild of Moscow-based doctor Yevgeny Dobreykin, who claims he’s had a flood of interest in them. In an online advert for the implants, an unnamed model says they “will make me feel like a patriot even if I don’t have any clothes on!” It’s a “fantastic feeling”, she adds, “when the flag of your country is literally under your heart”.

It was meant to be a fairytale romantic gesture; but when a man tried to propose to his partner at Disneyland Paris, he was rudely interrupted by a staff member wearing Mickey Mouse ears. Social media footage shows the man, identified only as Ante from Frankfurt, getting down on one knee to pop the question in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle – before an employee runs between him and his partner, snatches the ring, and ushers them off the viewing platform. Disney apologised. “We regret how this was handled,” said a spokesman.

Bees can be fish, a court in California has ruled. A panel of three judges on the 3rd District Court of Appeals ruled that four species of bumblebee could be considered as “fish” to qualify for protections under the California Endangered Species Act. In a 35-page ruling, overturning a previous case, which had overturned one before that, the judges explained that “fish” can be used as a legal “term of art”, and does not have to mean an aquatic vertebrate.
