Tories new Facebook page

-

WOKINGHAM’S Conservative group on the borough council has joined social media.

New pages have been set up as part of their plan to keep residents informed.

It is run by Conservative councillors and will include posts from the 45-strong group of councillors, offering an insight into the corridors of power at Shute End.

Residents will be able to find out more about the policies that affect them, and to get feedback on issues.

The Facebook page and Twitter account will also be used to allow residents to inform councillors about matters in their area.

Cllr Charlotte Haitham Taylor, Leader of the Council and the Conservative

Group, said: “This is a really important step in engaging with local residents.

“For those who recoil in horror at the online world, don’t worry – we will still be communicating in all the different ways we currently do. This page allows for two-way communication – councillors can inform, but can also be informed by their communities.”

Group” and Twitter for @ WBCConservative.
