A MAN from Reading has pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in Wokingham in February.
Russell Andrew Thomas, 33, of Beecham Road, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 16 where he pleaded guilty to assaulting the man on February 26.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £20 surcharge and costs of £250.
A MAN from Spencers Wood is due to appear in court charged with common assault and sending threatening communications.
Daniel Chad Allaway, 36, of Clements Close, is charged with assaulting a man in Wokingham on April 1 this year.
He is also charged with phoning a different man on the same day to convey a threat likely to cause distress or anxiety to the recipient. Mr Allaway denies both charges.
He has been remanded on bail to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on July 4. He is not to contact the two men, directly or indirectly, before that time.
A MAN from Woodley has pleaded guilty to stealing beef joints from Lidl.
Adam Little, 39, of Drovers Way, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 17 where he admitted stealing the food, to the value of £30, from Lidl in Woodley on February 15 this year.
He was given a conditional discharge for 18 months, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victims services of £20, and costs of £85.
A MAN from Woodley has pleaded guilty to travelling on a train without buying a ticket.
Samuel Regent, 21, of Antian Close, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 17 where he admitted travelling on a Great Western Railway service in Reading on August 24 last year without paying a fare of £13.85.
Mr Regent was fined £40; ordered to pay compensation of £13.85, a surcharge of £30 and costs of £20.
A WOMAN from Woodley has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Zoey Anne Rooke, 24, of Hunters Court, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 17 where she admitted driving in Reading on April 8 this year while over the alcohol limit.
She also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a discharge order.
Ms Rooke was fined £100, ordered to pay a surcharge of
£30 ad costs of £85. She was also disqualified from holding a licence for 38 months.
A MAN from Crowthorne is due to appear in court charged with threatening a woman.
Richard John Pearson, 30, of Cambridge Road, is charged with sending threatening voice messages to the woman on April 9 this year, attending her home address on April 8 and 10 and using threatening or abusive words towards her on those dates. Mr Pearson denies the charge. He has been remanded on bail to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on June 27 for the trial. A WOMAN from Finchampstead has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Zena Joy Howe, 57, of Longwater Road, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 19 where she admitted driving in Finchampstead on May 4 this year while over the alcohol limit.
Mrs Howe was fined £252; ordered to pay a surcharge of £30; and costs of £85.
She was banned from holding a licence for 20 months.
A MAN from Earley has pleaded guilty to damaging a tumble dryer.
Raakin Ahmed, 43, of Silverdale Road, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 19 where he admitted damaging a tumble dryer, to the value of £245, belonging to another person in Newbury on April 17 this year.
Mr Ahmed was made the subject of a community order requiring him to participate in an accredited activity for up to 32 days, and a rehabilitation activity for up to 15 days.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £85 and costs of £85.
