Sumas get their rewards

-

WOKINGHAM AND EMMBROOK Under-13 girls have received their trophies after another successful season on the pitch.

The Sumas finished as runnersup in Division 1 of the Berkshire County Girls Football League and collected their prize at Madejski Stadium.

And they have also performed away from league action, winning the Windsor FC Youth tournament.

The club continues to go from strength to strength since it was formed in 2012 with six members still playing now.

Next season sees the group move from nine-a-side to

11-a-side.

DEBBIE McNAB and Jacqui Headland won the Welfare Officer of the Year award at last week’s Berks and Bucks FA awards.

Held at Wycombe Wanderers’ Adams Park, Reading Women boss Kelly Chambers was also present to conduct a question and answer session.
