Argos opens in Winnersh

-

A NEW branch of Argos has been opened in a Winnersh supermarket.

Sainsbury, in Reading

Road, is the home for the new digital store, pioneering a new direction for the catalogue giant.

Customers can buy and take away a range of popular products immediately, while a further 20,000 can be ordered to collect in store within hours.

And, if that wasn’t enough, an extra 20,000 products can also be ordered for home delivery.

There will also be an eBay collection point so buyers can either collect purchases from the online auction site.

The team-up comes following Sainsbury’s acquisition of Argos’ parent company the Home Retail Group and is part of its strategy to help its customers shop whenever and wherever they want.

Sainsbury’s argues that the combination of stores will enable customers to shop conveniently through different online, mobile and store channels. It will also give customers more choice across different product ranges, creating one of the UK’s largest non-food retailers.

David Mills, a spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: “We are really thrilled to welcome Argos and its team to our store.

“The new store is great for customers, who are looking for easier, more convenient ways to shop. We’re looking forward to feedback from customers about the increased range on offer.”
