Litter pick to take place across borough

-

THE tenth annual

Wokingham Borough Litter Pick will take place later this weekend, with volunteers out and about across the borough.

The annual litter pick is organised by Wokingham Borough Council in partnership with town and parish councils as well as neighbourhood, environmental and resident groups with the aim of making the borough a cleaner place to live and to give the community a sense of civic pride, as well as raising awareness that litter is unacceptable.

This year’s will be the tenth annual community litter pick and, as before, volunteers can turn up for as little or as long as they like.

The event is a great opportunity to meet local people and help keep your area clean.

Litter pickers and safety vests will be provided but remember to wear gloves and sturdy shoes.

Full details of the litter picks are available at www. wokingham.gov.uk/roads-andoutdoor-maintenance/binsand-litter/community-litterpick/ or visit www.wokingham. gov.uk and search
