Boars enjoy backto-back success

EVERSLEY AND CALIFORNIA enjoyed some much needed success with back-to-back victories this week.

The Boars have struggled for results since the turn of the year but now climb up to eighth in the table following wins over Sheerwater and Frimley Green.

Gil De Sousa was the hero on Saturday, firing in a hat-trick as Eversley overcame Sheerwater in a crazy 7-4 victory.

Connor Allston, Brad Brown, Sam Hutchings and Joe Pantony were also on target in the win over the promotion-chasing side.

And they followed it up on Tuesday night with a 2-1 home victory against Frimley Green, another side who sit above them in the table.

Phil Ruggles’ side made it three wins on the spin, including last week’s Aldershot Cup victory over Sandhurst.

Eversley travel to mid-table Kensington Borough on Saturday (3pm).
