Wokingham Today

We’re ready to launch The Time Machine

-

AT Beyond the Download we have always had the ambition that it would not just be a record shop but a hub for local musicians and the local music scene.

We have been putting on gigs in local pubs for a while, offering local musicians material for sale in the shop and managing/ promoting local musicians so it was a natural progression for us to open our own venue.

We chose the Emmbrook Sports & Social Club where The Wokingham Music club have been successfully running Friday night gigs for some time. Our gigs at present will be on a Saturday night and will focus on Reading and surrounding areas vibrant Indie scene.

There is good parking both onsite and in adjacent roads and a great atmosphere inside.

Our inaugural gig is on Saturday with the incredible Vinyl Staircase supported by The Keep Cats and Petra Cohotem. This will be followed on Saturday, April 14 by Mellor supported by Kevin & The Vandals and Roves.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Stan Hetherington of the Wokingham Music Club for his invaluable help and support setting this up.

The show starts from 7.30pm on Saturday, tickets are £6 in advance or

£10 on the door. To reserve yours, visit beyondthedownload.uk/pages/events
