“The present manor house was built in 1488 although a stone floor in the old buttery has been dated back to the 10th century when the manor was first ceded to the Benedictines by King Eadred (946-955). Ashbury Manor has been our home since 2005 and we have been working on the renovation of the house, its outbuildings and gardens over the last 10 years.” —
