There is no memorial for the thousands of, mostly women, munitions workers. Why?
Without these brave, industrious workers toiling in a mind-numbing and dangerous occupation the Allies would have had nothing to win the war with. Hundreds of these workers were killed or died from the poisonous materials they handled daily.
