eep on with your good work In the Spring uarterly 201 ’s Cornucopia, “Countryside Artist Gordon Beningfield” reminded me of “In memory of Gordon Beningfield” in This England, Autumn 199 by Robin Page (I still have the page of Mr Page’s tribute to G. Beningfield).

I wrote to Robin Page and he kindly wrote back and told me of Gordon’s work and drive in trying to save some of our vanishing countryside linked with the Countryside Restoration Trust he was a Vice-chairman.

I long ago bought three of GB’S books “Beningfield’s Butterflies”, his “English Landscape” and “The Artist And His Work” all so informative as well as being beautiful in art.

So thank you for including the article by Dennis Furnell in Cornucopia.
