Through The Generations
Congratulations on 50 years’ production of an excellent and very informative maga ine. My association with “This England” goes back to “hand-me-downs” from my mother who at the time was living in Rhodesia (now imbabwe) and missed England very much indeed.
She was a subscriber for many years, maybe even since the first edition. pon her death in 1993 I continued with the subscription and have enjoyed it ever since, and have even contributed in a small way.
The wide range of topics that you source are of great interest. I have kept all of the issues and I am now going through them to assist our granddaughter with a school project on World War Two.
I was born and educated in England and emigrated to Rhodesia with the family in 1959, then moved to South Africa in 19 2. I am now retired in Pretoria. Good luck for the future and I hope that you continue to give pleasure to readers both at home and abroad. Mike Bullock
