Our World
Show me the fields of England,
The gentle, rolling downs,
The spreading hills and valleys,
The pastel greens and browns.
Give me the chance to wander
Down an English country lane,
And feel the cooling showers
Of the season’s quenching rain.
Then to a friendly cottage
For a homely cup of tea,
Where the scent of new bread baking
Brings my childhood back to me.
Handful of precious memories
I’ll take where’er I roam,
For in my heart I know that
England, to me, means home!
