This England

IN THE DOGHOUSE

-

May I congratulate you for continuing to produce This England, a magazine which in my opinion has no equal both in its high quality and variety of very interesting articles. However, I need to draw your attention to the article Caesar: A National Treasure in the Autumn edition which states that the Queen received her first corgi, Susan, on her 18th birthday. This is incorrect. Her father, then Duke of York, bought two of them in 1933 when she was seven years old, and there is a charming photograph of them with both princesses in the garden of the miniature cottage which stands in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
