FEEDING BRITAIN

The panic buying seen earlier this year raised a question regarding the state of our national food security, and in this study, food policy expert Tim Lang explores the problems which lie in the UK food system. Inspired by arguments around food policy in the 1930s, he uses copious amounts of data: life expectancy, food import and export values, food production to supply ratios, current use of all land and food waste by sector to name but a few.
