Lowering spin helps maximise distance as long as you’ve got the initial launch to power shots into the air. Chris saw a 441rpm rise in backspin going from his preferred 9.5° loft to the 11.5° max, which isn’t huge. But the sidespin numbers tell a different story. Chris’ longest set-up also delivered the lowest sidespin (97rpm v 299rpm average of other set-ups), which would mean a decent increase in accuracy.
