Shape up!

Think of breaking putts to hit draws and fades

-

Fault: Poor face aim causing loss of control on shaped shots Fix: Aim the blade as you would for a curving putt The key to a successful draw or fade is to start the ball away from the target, so it can curve back towards it. A key error club players make is to start the ball too straight – meaning the spin works the ball away from the target. Take a similar approach to how you’d deal with a breaking putt and you will make progress. Here’s the concept in action for a fade; reverse it for draws.
