Curb your slice
How a notepad and pen can help you hit straighter drives
Fault: Slicing, with the clubface open to the path Fix: Draw an arrow and use it to retrain your path
Once you create an action where the clubface is open to the swing path at impact, a slice will be the result. Many slicers create this unwanted relationship by swinging the club down on a steeper angle than the one it swung back on. Tidy up this loop and you will stem the slice. Here is a simple drill you can do anywhere, even in your front room, which will help train a motion that reverses this loop. All you need is a pen and a pad of paper.
