Let’s celebrate 250th despite the lockdown
THE Louth Navigation was officially opened on May 20, 1770 and to celebrate the 250th anniversary, the trust circulated a commemorative picture.
A full calendar of events had been arranged by the Louth Navigation Trust but so far only the first – the book launch and cake cutting, reported in our April edition – has been able to take place.
It is still hoped that some of the events scheduled for later in the year, including a Canal@250 Riverhead weekend festival in September, will be able to take place. Keep checking www. louthcanal.org.uk for updates.
