Flying Model Aircraft ‘Blue Pants’, Henri Stouffs, 1954 world champion ED 2.46, fitted engine for control line flying, 37in wingspan. Sold for £40, Lacy Scott & Knight, August.

Scalextric Tinplate Maserati Racing Car, green, cream nose cone, racing No 15 (extra decal fitted on bonnet) - this model has hand painted finish and was believed to be for export market, comes with special blue and yellow carded box which is excellent. Sold for £280, Vectis, January.

Mettoy (UK) Large Plastic Rolls Royce, scarce 1950’s example has a red plastic body, diecast grille and front bumper, lacks rear bumper and impact crack to the front nearside wing and bonnet but does include the tinprinted interior, steering wheel, clockwork motor in working order. Sold for £90, Vectis, September.

EP Lehmann Performing Sea Lion, novelty clockwork toy made in 1920, with large driving wheel and two smaller wheels to tail, in box. Sold for £230, Hartleys, March.

Early paper on wood Battleship, probably made by Reed or Bliss, marked ‘Rover’ on front. Missing one set of wheels and other minor parts. Sold for £330, Morphy’s, February.
