The world’s most famous travelling mountain film festival is on the road again and will be in venues across the UK and Ireland until 17 May. As usual, they’re running two programmes, both showcasing a selection of films celebrating life lived at high pitch in the mountains. Pictured:

BOOK THIS... An evening with Mick Fowler

Buxton Adventure Festival events take place roughly once a month and each night is a mini festival with a headline speaker. This month it’s the turn of Mick Fowler, 'the mountaineer’s mountaineer', two-time winner of the Piolet d’Or and until recently a full-time taxman who turned around record-breaking climbs during his standard annual leave.
