Foreland Point back to Porlock
1 SS755506 Follow the road uphill, taking the sharp right and leaving the SWCP to reach the top of Countisbury Common. Take the track, then the footpath left heading east around Kipscombe. Fork right to reach the A39. Turn left onto the road and follow it for a short distance, then cross and follow the minor road downhill. Turn left at a sharp bend in the road onto a footpath, heading east above the river.
2 SS771485 Follow this path to the footbridge near Malmsmead you went over on day 2. Cross here and follow the road and farm track to Cloud Farm. 3 SS794467 Turn left at the farm and head uphill towards Oare. Turn right on the ridge and follow the path south-east over Oare Common and South Common, to reach a track junction at about 14km.
4 SS807429 Turn left and follow the track east to a minor road at a cattle grid. Cross the road and join the Macmillan Way West, heading across Almsworthy Common, and crossing another road. Continue east on the path, crossing another road at a small road junction, and continuing east to the summit of Dunkery Beacon. 5 SS891415 Pass the summit cairn and follow the main path down to the road. Turn left, descending for about 2km to a small car park at Webber’s Post. Track left, to follow the Coleridge Way through woods, over Horner Hill and down to the road at Horner.
6 SS899453 Turn left and go around a corner before turning left onto a path and crossing the river. Walk around Crawter Hill to reach the road, turn left and descend into Porlock, trending left to reach the start point.
