1 SS755506 Follow the road north around Foreland Point and then back inland to join the SWCP. When you reach it, turn right and walk south past a mast and trig point. Leave the coast path to reach the A39 by the Blue Ball Inn at Countisbury.

2 SS747496 Cross the road and follow a footpath south to reach some woodland. Continue south downhill to the East Lyn River, just upstream from Watersmeet. Turn left and follow the riverside path for about 2km until you can cross a footbridge by the pub at Rockford. 3 SS756477 Turn left onto the road and follow it for a short distance until you can turn right onto a footpath, heading uphill through some woods to turn left onto another road. Follow it downhill to a sharp bend, leave the road here and turn right onto a footpath. Head uphill across a field to another lane at Shilstone. Turn right onto the lane and then right again onto a footpath crossing a stream. Head south, uphill onto moorland. Continue along this path to the trig point on Shilstone Hill.

4 SS759459 Proceed south along the path, but then fork left onto a track to avoid the road at Dry Bridge. Turn left at the next track junction, and then fork right. Take the next right and cross the stream in Lank Combe, then continue south-east on a bridleway, heading down to reach Badgworthy Water. 5 SS793444 Turn left and follow the path downstream and through woodland, passing the Blackmore Memorial and the Cloud Farm campsite. Cross the small footbridge to Cloud Farm, then turn left – following the farm road back to the lane at Malmsmead. Turn right on the lane, and then left down a bridleway to the river. Cross on the bridge and join the Coleridge Way.

6 SS795479 Turn left and follow the path along the river. When you reach a small wood, turn right here and climb steeply to the A39 at Country Gate. Cross the road and head north on a footpath downhill along the edge of some woods. Join the SWCP and turn left, following it back to the bothy, as on day 1.
