The mammal with a mission

He’s done it. Our Everest Anywhere mascot Marmot Marv has smashed the height of his first Everest, having climbed 12,508m on the heels of

Trail staffers. Now he's taking it one continent further and is on the way to the real Everest Base Camp in Nepal at an altitude of 5380m, with Trail reader Nessa Thirsk of Stockport. Nessa's dad got her into hillwalking and mountains. She says: "Dad would tell me stories about climbers and ascents, and Everest always came up. I‘ve been amazed and intrigued ever since. So it‘s been on my bucket list a while and I can‘t believe I'm off, with Marv in tow!"
