It's in the bag!

-

I’ve recently noticed a plague of little black dog poo bags in the Peak District National Park and other places. Why don’t dog owners take their dogs’ droppings home with them after they have been bagged, or just don’t bother with the bags? If they flick it off the path it will break down fairly rapidly, unlike the plastic-bagged version, surely? Bob Ferguson, via email Ed – Double-bagging dog poo and carrying it out is the best option, since canine faeces can carry parasites that will harm humans and livestock alike.
