Walna Scar Lake District

“Taken by my son, Mark, this picture encapsulates a lovely memory of a recent walk from Walna Scar Road (car park) up to Swirl How via Levers Water. It was taken early morning at an outcrop of rocks just before the reservoir, before we reached Swirl How at the junction of the Prison Band and Broad Slack. We then climbed up to the Old Man of Coniston before returning to our start via the old slate mine. A great hill day!”
