Similar to regular tea, coffee is generally a bit of a no- go for hillwalker­s due to the caffeine it contains being a known diuretic that can hasten dehydratio­n. If you just can’t go a day without the taste of coffee hitting your taste buds, perhaps plump for a decaf coffee, as while it’s still not 100% caffeinefr­ee, it would be a better option.
