Black Diamond Pursuit
£85
+ Good features, very comfortable, premium materials - Relatively expensive, no wrist leash, lots of stitching
It has been a hotly contested battle between the Extremities Torres Peak, Outdoor Research Highcamp and Black Diamond Pursuit for the title of ‘Best in Test’, but the Pursuits narrowly take the honours. They are great all-rounders, hitting that sweet spot between weight, comfort, waterproofing, warmth and dexterity, performing well across all categories. The interior is super comfy, thanks to the high-loft fleece lining (suitable down to -12°C according to the brand), while the outer shell is a light, stretchy and abrasion resistant Pertex Shield material with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex insert. The palm is made from a strong, premium-feeling goat leather that also stretches over the roll-top fingers. Quick-cinching straps at the wrist and hem give a super-secure fit and the long hem provides excellent coverage. You also get a thumb nose wipe and leather reinforcements at the thumb-forefinger join. Dexterity is decent, but not exceptional due to the thick, well-padded build. But for sub-£100, this is a top-rated glove for your wintry adventures.

Verdict
A warm, weatherproof and sturdily-built glove with good features at a sensible price.
