Start Beddgelert, grid ref SH584483 Terrain Rough mountain path

This is the quickest and most popular route up Moel Hebog, but not recommended for descent in poor visibility. From Beddgelert walk 700m up the Caernarfon road to Pont Alwyn, then cross the river Colwyn. Follow the road past the farmhouse of Cwm Cloch, onto a broad grassy path west towards the forest boundary. Turn south-west (left) up the ridge and follow it to the south-east corner of the steep front peak. Now bear north-west (right) and climb steeply up scree and rock. Turn south-west (left) and after about 300m reach the summit.

This top section needs good nav skills in poor visibility.
