Kate

Nose: Mahogany wardrobes and sulphur. Spent matches, rubber bands, peroxide. Rowing boats, barbershops and fudge and then a hint of mild goat’s cheese.

Palate: Blue bubble gum flavour, bright cherry notes and ripe plums.

Far more sweetness than the nose suggests. Sweetened cappuccino, blueberry muffins and then heady jasmine.

Finish: A big, floral and fruity finish.

Comments: The nose is really intriguing, and it draws you in, ushering forth a glorious surprise of a palate. It’s rather like entering Narnia through a wardrobe. Quite brilliant. 9.1

Sam

Nose: Fruity, with orchard aromas of baking apples and citrus. A sniff of this and you’re transported to the outside with plenty of floral notes of light lavender and jasmine.

Palate: A wonderful oily texture that lends itself to the richer notes. A baked pastry note compliments the orchard fruits from the palate, while a little bit of oak spice prevents things being too sweet.

Finish: Middling-length with butter and oak spice in jostling for position. A bit of alcohol prickle comes through later on.

Comments: Warming, but nicely balanced. Worth the money for the nose alone. 8.0
