Nose: Stewed plums and damson jam, a hint of cereal and distant lavender, then marshmallow sweetness.
Palate: Honey sweetness opens up in to raspberry jam sandwiches, sweet yeasty notes, milk chocolate covered strawberries and a hint of lavender.
Finish: Long summer berry sweetness and a lovely floral note before a hint of clove.
Comments: This is summer picnic territory: some jam sandwiches in a lavender field. 8.0

Nose: Fairly gentle, with a little spirit aroma. Grandad’s toffees, creamy, freshly baked Danish pastries. Pastel de nata. Faint wafts of open Jelly Baby bags.
Palate: Combines the aromas of the nose nicely. Upfront is the toffee balance with vanilla and some wood spice. A little citrus peel lurks amongst cloves and nutmeg.
Finish: Citrus infused toffees, with a little peppery spice.
Comments: Smartly handles delicate flavours for a gentle Cognac that would prove a lovely first stop for those new to the category. 8.0
