Nose: The alcohol punches first then it moves into floral notes, gorse flowers. Earthy with treacle tarts, Assam tea, bracken and boxes and wool. Polished oak tables and leather book covers. A malty edge.
Palate: Cherry sweetness, crystallised ginger pieces, cola cubes and spoonfuls of orange marmalade. Apricot madeleines and orchard fruit compote.
Finish: Big orange marmalade notes, barley sugar sweets and a little lemon zest.
Comments: Quite gorgeous, oak and sweetness in a near perfect balance.

Nose: Peach fruit and barley squash, lemon peel, ground coriander seed, wood chip, bow rosin, waxed jacket.
Palate: Juicy, with more peach accompanied by plum flesh and lemonade. Slightly effervescent on the palate, reminiscent of elderflower wine. Honeydew melon and sparkling white wine, with Chantilly cream on white sponge.
Finish: Medium length, clean and bright. The honeydew melon note then persists.
Comments: A breakfast fruit bowl with white cake and a glass of prosecco.
