Nose: Lychees in syrup with pineapple chunks. Peppermint cake. Plenty of wood notes, cherry wood for BBQ smoking. Delicate fruit underneath and a lovely floral note, apple blossom, freshly cut grass.

Palate: Sweet hard pink candy-coated almonds. Hints of black pepper spice. Vanilla ice cream. Griddled pineapple and blackened peaches.

Finish: A little acrid at first then the sweetness takes it and coats the mouth. Turns malty in the end.

Comments: Like walking into a sawmill in the height of summer.

Christopher

Nose: Dried mango, banana pancakes, elderflower cordial, kiwi and beeswax. Fresh-cut oak timber and all |the aromas of a wildflower meadow.

Palate: Creamy and honeyed, the kiwi is back with watermelon and elderflower cordial. Diluted, one finds a generous glug of vanilla syrup.

Finish: Medium, the merest hint of a green note, slightly minty, emerges as vanilla sweetness fades.

Comments: A breath of fresh summer air drifting into the woodworking shop floor.
