The New Results System – Trialgo
Ismael Lobato: “My passion for trials has led me to participate in the COTA Trial Championship in Spain. This championship has more than 30 years of history and has a large number of riders in each event. The promoters of this championship wanted to improve the system of classifications and results. They used Excel spreadsheets, but it was a complex system to maintain and many functions had to be entered by hand, with great loss of time and the possibility of mistakes. That’s when they asked me if we could develop a program to do this task.
“Pere Vilageliu, who had competed in this championship as a rider and is now one of the organisers, knew what was needed. For those who do not know Pere he is very passionate about trials and he works at Paxau Motorcycles in Spain, headed by the famous Gas Gas and Sherco development engineer Josep Paxau. Pere is a very meticulous person and when he first saw the new program he loved it. The program did not stop evolving after the first version. Year after year improvements and functions were incorporated until it became an ideal program for carrying out the task of populating trials results. Later the FCM – Catalan Federation of Moticlismo – were interested in the program to create the results for all their trial championships, of both modern and classic motorcycles. Now TrialGo is the most used program in Spain for putting the results of championships together.”
