TRIALGP • TRIAL2 • TRIAL125 With Spain being the current dominant force in the sport of trials, the mountains in the heartland north of Barcelona will provide the perfect setting to get the new era of TrialGP underway. The Noassar training area just outside the town of Camprodon is widely recognised as one of the best venues in Europe and is frequented by many of the world’s leading riders, such is the variety and scope of the terrain that is hidden on the vast, covered hillsides. Breaking from the more expected Spanish-style sections, the hazards will make the most of its natural landscape with steep bankings and rounded boulders creating an almost British feel to the event. TrialGP Spain will have the honour of being the first to witness the new Saturday qualification process when each and every rider will have to fight within their class for their Sunday start position. Contested over a single timed section on Saturday afternoon this new format is poised to cause some early drama and guaranteed to serve some great action right from the off. With easy access from either Barcelona or Girona what better excuse for a long weekend in the spring sunshine?
