Pierce Harris stands trial for raping Rhona
IT’S JUDGMENT DAY for rapist Pierce Harris, but as his trial gets underway, estranged wife and victim, Rhona, isn’t confident that she’ll get justice for her ordeal. Not only does his defence team tear her apart, but friends Marlon and Vanessa inadvertently make the situation worse.
Marlon’s lost for words when he’s asked why, if he believed Pierce was a dubious character, he allowed his ex-girlfriend, Carly, to go running with him. Vanessa, in a desperate bid to get a guilty verdict, then lies that Pierce admitted to her that he raped her friend – which undermines Rhona’s case.
Rhona’s hopes of a conviction are fading fast when, during a break, she spots Pierce walking into a side room. She then confronts him about what he did. Pierce finally acknowledges his crime – but will he do the same in front of the judge and jury?
