Here’s a peep at a script read-through for ITV crime drama Marcella, starring Anna Friel as troubled cop DS Marcella Backland, along with Ray Panthaki and Nicholas Pinnock (pictured). Nigel Planer and Keith Allen will join the cast in the new eight-part series, which sees Marcella investigate when the body of an abducted schoolboy is discovered. ‘I keep being asked if Marcella’s green parka will be making an appearance,’ laughs Friel.
