Uma Thur­man gets a chance to flex her com­edy mus­cles as a thir­tysome­thing ca­reer woman hes­i­tantly em­bark­ing on a re­la­tion­ship with a man 14 years her ju­nior (Bryan Green­berg), un­aware that the ther­a­pist (Meryl Streep) in whom she is con­fid­ing in­ti­mate de­tails of her af­fair is his mother.
