The 2012 college comedy Pitch Perfect was an unexpectedly charming and wickedly funny a cappella mash-up of Glee and Bridesmaids, but this scattershot sequel doesn’t hit all the right notes. Once again, Rebel Wilson’s brash Fat Amy and her all-female singing group the Barden Bellas are the underdogs as they aim to win the World Championships. The lazy national stereotyping here and there is a definite flaw and some of the cruder slapstick episodes misfire, but the girls’ unruly camaraderie is infectious. 2015, 12, 115MIN
