The EVERGREEN PUPPETS offer up more mirth and mayhem in their new show

blockbuste­r movies and now, four years after their last TV show, they are let loose in their first-ever unscripted series Muppets Now.

The six-part magazine-style show streams weekly on Disney+ and sees put-upon gofer Scooter desperatel­y trying to deliver the episodes on time as the other Muppets ‘helpfully’ chip in with unwelcome ideas for the series and demands for alteration­s.

‘It’s an incredible show that is wild and funny and features some new friends,’ reveals Kermit. ‘Scooter is very busy. I hope that nobody drove him crazy with last-minute requests or notes but I did have some thoughts…’

The series features a variety of entertaini­ng segments hosted by the Muppets. Cookery comes under the spotlight courtesy of the useless and incomprehe­nsible Swedish Chef, who goes head-to-head with an array of celebrity foodies, including Spy Kids actor Danny Trejo, in culinary challenges.

Meanwhile, bespectacl­ed scientist Dr Bunsen Honeydew and his taciturn, luckless assistant Beaker conduct a host of off-the-wall experiment­s and irrepressi­ble Pépe the King Prawn presents Pépe’s Unbelievab­le Game Show.

Several other famous faces taking part in the series include Hollywood star Seth Rogen and Parks and Recreation’s Aubrey Plaza and, in the first episode, Kermit interviews Rupaul for in-depth chat show Mup Close and Personal. But Kermit’s attempts at serious questionin­g are sabotaged as the other Muppets are also keen to talk to the Drag Race star.
