The Perks of Being a Wallflower
A smart and touching high-school drama
This coming-of-age tale is far superior to most in the genre, revolving around painfully shy student Logan Lerman as he grapples with his first year of high school in 1991 Pittsburgh. Still fragile after the suicide of his best friend, Lerman shrinks back from school life until a pair of nonconformist seniors, stepsiblings Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, unexpectedly befriend him and encourage him to bloom. A wonderfully warm and poignant film. Edited.
