David v Sheridan?
actress lines up in gladiatorial arena for second series of comic’s sketch show
David Walliams dons pigtails and a female gladiatorial outfit as he poses with Sheridan Smith in similar garb for a new series of his hit BBC1 sketch show, Walliams and Friend.
Following the success of his one-off with Joanna Lumley last Christmas, he’ll be back with a new pal each week, including Cilla star Sheridan.
David also released a picture of himself with Blackadder’s Miranda Richardson – the pair looking like new-age parents. And the multi-tasking 45-year-old posed with Jack Whitehall in a tennis sketch. Downton Abbey and W1A actor Hugh Bonneville is set to join in the fun for a Christmas special, too.
‘I’m thrilled to be working with some of Britain’s bestloved comedians and actors,’ says David, who’ll also star in episodes alongside Morgana Robinson and Mike Wozniak.
Walliams and Friend will once again feature a mix of skits filmed on location and live in front of a studio audience.
