comedian omid djalili hosted the glittering evening, which was themed around the BBC1 competition, at old Billingsgate in london. and all of series seven’s bakers went, except for week two leaver, welsh hairdresser louise williams.

past Bake Off contestants were also out in force, including series five hopefuls richard Burr and Martha collison, plus Howard Middleton and christine wallace from series four. star baker christine made a cake to celebrate the charity’s 30th birthday, which she presented to childline founder dame esther rantzen.
Meanwhile, Strictly contender will Young took time out from dance rehearsals to provide the musical entertainment. the night raised more than £825,000 for childline.
