check out this sparkling snap of this year’s Great British Bake Off contestant­s dressed to the nines for a charity ball in aid of childline.

comedian omid djalili hosted the glittering evening, which was themed around the BBC1 competitio­n, at old Billingsga­te in london. and all of series seven’s bakers went, except for week two leaver, welsh hairdresse­r louise williams.

‘we miss you, lou!’ tweeted candice Brown, who looked fab in a floor-length navy gown teamed, of course, with a statement lipstick! ‘love, love playing at being posh for the most amazing cause.’

past Bake Off contestant­s were also out in force, including series five hopefuls richard Burr and Martha collison, plus Howard Middleton and christine wallace from series four. star baker christine made a cake to celebrate the charity’s 30th birthday, which she presented to childline founder dame esther rantzen.

Meanwhile, Strictly contender will Young took time out from dance rehearsals to provide the musical entertainm­ent. the night raised more than £825,000 for childline.
