Cv so far: since winning series six of The Great British Bake Off in 2015, nadiya, 32, has judged spin-off Junior Bake Off, explored her Bangladeshi roots in BBC1 travelogue The Chronicles of Nadiya and baked an orange drizzle cake for the Queen’s 90th birthday, plus written a host of cookbooks and a best-selling novel.
Plans for summer: Before fronting new
The Big Family Cooking Showdown this autumn, nadiya’s embarking on a culinary road trip for eight-part BBC2 series Nadiya’s British Food Adventure, where she’ll visit different regions to learn more about our most exciting food pioneers.
Nadiya says: ‘i can’t wait to meet these local food heroes, so i can find inspiration in the most unusual food stories and unlikely ingredients, and then come up with some brand new recipes in the kitchen, adding my own special twist.’
